Well America, it seems the progression of the presidential elections of 2008 have allowed for the pool of candidates to be narrowed down to four candidates, two on the Dem side, and two on the G.O.P. side. We know this because Fox news has stated on their promos "and then there was two" while showing pictures of Dems Obama and Clinton, followed by the same for McCain and Huckabee.

The one candidate they forgot to mention Ron Paul, despite the fact he had his best weekend in the primary season thus far. But that's no surprise; Mr. Paul has been black balled by the mainstream media since the beginning of January.

I remember an effort by the mainstream media to push distorted, out of context quotes from an early 90's newsletter to hurt Paul's reputation. After they succeeded in imprinting these misconstrued and damaging quotes as evidence that Mr. Paul was a racist, the media succeeded in ignoring Ron Paul all together until after the primaries.

Ron Paul is still in the race, I assure you, yet any Ron Paul supporter must realize after analyzing the facts and thinking logically, his bid for the republican nomination has been shot down and hindered by the joined forces of the media machine and their powerful cohorts.

It seems that everyone in America is yearning and hopping on the "change" bandwagon, yet when it comes to real change, the media, and Americans for that matter, label the agent of real change as being "extreme" or fringe. This was evident with Paul's campaign.

It is exasperating to have an understanding of who controls the media and then witness and deal with their daily show that succeeds in mesmerizing the American people on a daily basis. It is almost disheartening.

Obama may be an engaging and charismatic character, yet the public shouldn't be drawn in to support the man based on a cult of personality. Obama is a manufactured candidate put out there for us to have the "hope" behind the intoxicating mantra of "change".

Obama's success has come with the backing of the media machine. The pushing of his image has taken advantage of the millions of voters, especially the young, college aged voters who have never been engaged with politics before.

He is a member in good standing with America's big business and ruling elite. The media and big business have worked diligently to broadcast Obama as an alternative to the old faces that represent much of the same old brand.

The facts point towards Obama being a corporate candidate. One only has to go to Opensecrets.org and view Obama's top contributors. In the words of Theodros Shibabaw, "it reads like a Wall Street's Who's Who list."

In addition to the big banks and money manipulators that make their money primarily by engaging in usury, the media has pressed the "easy button" for Mr. Obama. The most watched news networks have failed to report that in Obama's short tenure in the senate he has consistently voted to fund the operations in the Middle East to the tunes of billions of dollars.

For a candidate that is supposedly against the war in Iraq, it seems troubling to be engaged in displaying examples of doublethink, voting to fund more bombs for Baghdad and Kabul. Don't let Obama fool you, he subscribes to the War on Terror wholeheartedly, and doen't even mention the Patriot Act.

The most worrisome info is his voting record. Here's a quick sample pulled from the official senate website; he doesn't even vote on the critical issues.

In the words of Bill Clinton, Obama's message of hope and change is all a "fairytale". As for the other candidates, McCain sings, "bomb bomb bomb, Iran" to be funny and there is reason to believe he will pick that sore loser Joe Lieberman, the hawkiest democra/independent in the senate as a running mate. A McCain -Lieberman ticket makes me feel nauseous.

Huckabee, well -he has no chance to get the nomination or win for that matter. And Clinton, well there's been a Bush or a Clinton in the Whitehouse since 1980. It's time for real change.

The real change potentially brought by a Ron Paul presidency would have meant a return to sound money, which included throwing the money manipulators out of the Federal Reserve and returning to sound money that doesn't have the threat of pushing the economy into cycles of recessions, bubbles and could have stopped the most evil tax of all, the inflation tax.

The change brought by Paul would have meant an end to the unconstitutional and terrible war on terror. Sadly it just wasn't enough, so gear up Americans for more war and stripping of our civil liberties. America really does need hope for change in the next several years, because it seems it's all going to be the same brand of policy, just a change in packaging.

Ron Paul is too far off the deep end of the right for me to ever consider. Particularly when he thinks that the right of states to pass judgment are more important than my individual right to my own body. (Continued…)
